Pressing Will for further explanation on what he meant proved fruitless. He told me to sleep in, enjoy myself tomorrow, be rested. I took his advice. I hated alarms, so letting the sun wake me for a change was a comfort I missed. I pulled myself out of bed, wandering in only a nightgown through the apartment. I looked up at the clock. Nearly noon. Oh dear, I did sleep in, didn't I?

I went to my front door, wanting to check for mail, maybe a note, or anything to tell me what Mr. West meant for me to do. Instead I jumped back. A man in a long jacket, cap, and driving gloves stood in front of my door, sitting on the trunk of a limousine, reading a newspaper, flipping through there.

"Can I help you, sir?" I asked, through the screen door.

He folded up his paper. "Miss Suzanne Carter, I presume?"

"That's my name, yes."

"Mr. West sent me. I'm to take you you on a series of errands whenever you are ready."

"Crap, I didn't mean to hold you up, let me go get ready. He certainly isn't paying you to sit around."

"Actually he is, miss. I've been here for about three hours now, and I'm getting paid quite well for doing so. I'm not to rush you under any circumstances."

"Alright, I suppose. Let me get dressed and have some breakfast."

"Hold on the breakfast. First stop is a pretty nice restaurant. Everything you do today is to be charged to Mr. West's credit."

Just what did he have in store for me?

How do you dress for a day for being out on a ridiculously wealthy guy's dime? I ran myself through a shower and tossed on my work clothes. I realized they were probably the best stuff that I had. I walked out of my apartment, and the driver opened the door for me. "I guess so ends my hundred or so dollars an hour for sitting around."

"I'm sorry for making you wait."

"Think nothing of it. I wasn't being sarcastic when I said take your time. Relieved to be driving someone who isn't barking orders at me for a change."

I was taken to some restaurant whose name sounded French, it seemed just as likely to be Italian or something. Regardless of its origin, the food that waited for me was magnificent. Will had taken it upon him to pick out the meal for me. I'd be offended if he didn't have such fine tastes. It was a warm bread with some sort of flavored butter but I couldn't get enough of it even if it boiled down to simply being toast. Then their were meats that resembled steak more than sausage for breakfast, a sweet syrup and pastry and everything, all cooked and seasoned to perfection. I never thought my breakfasts could get better than some blueberry pancakes, but here I was, wondering how do I make this in my own home, how do I even possibly afford such things.

The next notch on Will's plan's for me were a trip to some salon.
